Can I print different names on the products?

Adding individual names to promotional products is a special form of personalization that requires different processes than standard logo printing. Here's everything you need to know if you're considering name printing.

What Is Name Personalization?

Name personalization refers to printing unique individual names on each item – for example, personalizing bottles, pens, or notebooks with different team member names. It adds a premium and customized touch to any product.

Font Guidelines

Not all fonts can be used for name printing. For compatibility reasons, only the following fonts are typically supported:

  • Calibri

  • Arial

  • Times New Roman

  • Futura

  • Myriad Pro

  • Helvetica

Please use one of these fonts or check with your account manager before requesting a mockup. For larger orders, other font options may be available upon request.

Printing Methods

Name personalization is only possible with certain printing techniques:

  • Engraving / Laser Engraving

  • Digital Print

  • Sublimation

  • Digital Transfer

  • Embroidery (on textiles)

Not all suppliers offer name personalization, and available methods may vary by product.

Always consult your account manager to confirm what is possible for your selected item.

How to Provide the Names

To produce personalized products, we need an Excel table from you with the names clearly listed. Please follow these instructions:

  • Names must appear exactly as they should be printed (capitalization matters)

  • Use only letters – no numbers or prefixes (e.g. “1. John” is not valid)

  • Use one name per line:

John Smith
Maria ...

If both first and last names are required, place each name on a new row.

Additional Cost

Name personalization comes with additional costs, which depend on the product, method, and quantity. A fixed price cannot be provided upfront. Your account manager will confirm the exact pricing for your request.

Tips for Smooth Processing

  • Check all spelling and formatting before sending the name list

  • Ask your account manager to confirm font and method compatibility

  • Larger orders may allow for more flexibility in font selection or placement

If you're unsure whether your selected product supports name personalization, just reach out to your account manager for advice and available options.
